One star is larger than the others and the four smaller stars form a semicircle around the larger one. Each of the stars has five points, and one point on each of the smaller stars is aimed directly at the center of the largest one. The color red symbolizes revolution. The large star symbolizes the ruling Communist Party and the smaller stars represent the four classes of the people, as defined by Mao Zedong. The overall design signifies the unity of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party. Read More
